چکیده
In this paper, a numerical experimental study about coupled vibration and natural frequency of thin-walled beams with an arbitrary closed cross-section is presented. A new beam dynamic transfer matrix method, named TDTMM, presented in the domain for beam, which expands advantages general method (GDTMM). The theory takes into account influence warping effect, that is, both bimoment B rate twist ϕ(x) are considered, TDTMM derived by solving governing differential equations motion bending torsional beam. Finally, two examples one example given compared GDTMM finite element (FEM) results to validate developed theory.

Impact is one of very important subjects which always have been considered in mechanical science. Nature of impact is such that which makes its control a hard task. Therefore it is required to present the transfer of impact to other vulnerable part of a structure, when it is necessary, one of the best method of absorbing energy of impact, is by using Thin-walled tubes these tubes collapses unde...
متن کاملVibration analysis of a rotating closed section composite Timoshenko beam by using differential transform method
This study introduces the Differential Transform Method (DTM) in the analysis of the free vibration response of a rotating closed section composite, Timoshenko beam, which features material coupling between flapwise bending and torsional vibrations due to ply orientation. The governing differential equations of motion are derived using Hamilton’s principle and solved by applying DTM. The natura...

Material properties and geometry are two important design parameters which their effects should be considered in a crashworthiness analysis. In this paper, the axial impact of metallic and hybrid energy absorbing thin-walled tubes with poly-gonal cross-section is simulated using LS-DYNA software. The combined effects of changing the geometry and material properties on the mass specific energ...

متن کاملExperimental and finite-element free vibration analysis and artificial neural network based on multi-crack diagnosis of non-uniform cross-section beam
Crack identification is a very important issue in mechanical systems, because it is a damage that if develops may cause catastrophic failure. In the first part of this research, modal analysis of a multi-cracked variable cross-section beam is done using finite element method. Then, the obtained results are validated usingthe results of experimental modal analysis tests. In the next part, a nove...
